The Swamp Robber (originally titled The Sugar Creek Gang) is a children's novel, written by Paul Hutchens, and published in 1940. It is the first novel in the Sugar Creek Gang series.
The Sugar Creek Gang discovers a "disguise" hidden in a sycamore hollow. Does it belong to the bank robber hiding in the swamp? A mysterious map hidden near the tree proves to be even more exciting than the disguise. A story about a gang of six boys in America in the 1900s.

A really good book. It has quite a lot of American words in it. For example, My folks have asked to stop using awful but it's hard to quit using it.
