Marjorie the cow is down in the dumps because she doesn't feel special - not like the other cows that can ride bicycles and do handstands. So the chickens hatch a plan, and one day Marjorie wakes up to find that she has laid an egg! There are lots of potential themes to explore in this book, including being happy with who you are and issues around adoption and fostering. Expect lots of questions from enquiring minds…The illustrations are bold and funny and complement the story really well – a good partnership between Andy Cutbill and Russell Ayto.
