Nadine Hughes Campbell (born August 10, 1987) is a Canadian author specializing in children’s literature, best known for her books Noah’s Cork Adventure and Noah’s Berlin Adventure.
Early life and education[]
Nadine Hughes Campbell was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She started her educational journey at Dawson College, where she earned a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Social Science. She then continued her studies at Concordia University, obtaining an undergraduate degree in Human Relations. Furthering her education, Nadine achieved a Higher Diploma in International Business from the Carlow Institute of Technology in Ireland.
Career[]
Nadine initially worked in the corporate sector, holding roles at Expedia Group and TD Canada Trust. However, her love for storytelling and a commitment to diversity in children's literature led her to pursue a career as a full-time author. She is currently associated with Simpl Publishing, where she creates captivating stories for young readers.
Writing and achievements[]
Nadine's debut book, Noah's Cork Adventure, was released in January 2024 and received critical acclaim for its vibrant storytelling and diverse representation. Striving to increase diversity and inclusion in our children's picture books, this book was featured in the 2024 Cork World Book Fest and is set to be showcased at the Kinsale Literary Fest in October 2024. Noah’s Cork Adventure was titled as the first children's book about Cork City, as per the Lord Mayor of Cork City. It also earned a longlist for the CAP Indie Awards. Following the success of her first book, Nadine released Noah’s Berlin Adventure in July 2024, further expanding the magical world of Noah's adventures.

A dedicated mother, Nadine's interest in storytelling blossomed following the birth of her first child. Her bedtime stories evolved into published works as she recognized the significance of diverse characters and narratives in children’s books. Nadine’s writings reflect her dedication to nurturing curiosity and wonder in young minds.
Heritage and residency[]
Originally from Montreal, Nadine currently lives in Cork, Ireland, with her family. Her Jamaican heritage, as both her parents are Jamaican immigrants to Canada, greatly influences her writing. She is fluent in both English and Canadian French.
