Mog the cat gets cross when she doesn't get the supper she wants, so she goes outside. In the night she meets some foxes, who follow her back into the house through the cat flap...

The publisher says this book is "ideal for beginner readers, because it uses a limited vocabulary of only about 200 words."

Reader's Reviews[]

1[]

This is not the best of the Mog the Forgetful Cat series, in my opinion. The story seems a bit weak, and in particular, I don't like the way Mog seems to be rewarded (in the end) for her selfishness. It also seems unrealistic that the two children of the family clean up after the foxes, unprompted, and before their parents get up, and so well that the parents don't notice. How many children do you know like that???

Clean. But morally dubious, because Mog is selfish and cross, and seems to get away with it.
