Josie Under Fire is a historical fiction book written by Ann Turnbull, set at the time of World War II. The book is about a little girl called Josie who goes to live with her cousin Edith because of the Blitz. The book is about Josie trying to fit in with Edith and her friends, which involves teasing other children and playing on old bomb sites. Josie does not feel comfortable with this and tries to make friends with the girl who is being bullied, and generally tries her best to stand up against Edith and her friends. However the book does have a happy ending!
