Jennie's War, sub-titled "The Home Front in World War II", is a Christian historical fiction book, part of the Sisters in Time series, and written by Bonnie Hinman.

The Seattle ten-year-old is using a hoe to win World War 2-she's growing vegetables in a "Victory Garden" on the vacant lot he and her brother once used as a baseball field. But serving a larger cause sometimes demands sacrifice, and Jennie's willing to do whatever it takes to see the war ended.

Soon, though, Jennie's war efforts take on a darker hue when she suspects a new man in her neighbourhood may be a spy. What can such a young girl do?

Let the Sisters in Time series take you back to 1994-where you may find that Jennie Fleming isn't very much different to you!

Reader's Reviews

This a really good book. I would recommend it for 9-11 year olds. I read it when I was thirteen and I think it was a little young for me as it only has 138 pages. I am now reading up to 400 pages :) It has quite big writing as well. Apart from that I really loved it. It is World War II and I like WW2 very much. (Olivia, Age 14)
