Three or five years! The words swam before Gemma's eyes. Why, in five years she would be sixteen - almost grown up.
School! She had never considered staying that long in this school. Five years in Headstone Comprehensive! Could she bear it? "Not unless some-how I become a person", she thought, "not just a girl in 1e."
