Info[]

Children of the Second Morning is a novel by Jean Cullop, and is the third in the Tales of Karensa series. The book takes the form of a Christian allegorical fantasy, much in the style of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, minus the talking animals. The book follows on from Luke and Rosie's previous adventures in Where Dolphins Race with Rainbows and Castle of Shadows, once again going to Karensa. Here, they meet up with Petroc and his sister Morwen, their friends from their previous adventures.

Book[]

Rosie hesitated by the wooden door. "Luke, think! If we go through there we may not be able to get back! At least not for ages. Remember last time. We were on Karensa for nearly a year. Think of sleeping on straw mattresses! Think of boring food and no telly, and work instead of school... and there are dangers on Karensa. Think about Bellum!"

Luke closed his eyes, trying to make sense of his thoughts. Karensa was calling him. Salvis was calling him. He felt Salvis close to them... The call became stronger and stronger.
