Children's Books Wiki

Anne Frank: Her Life is a short, young children's book, written by Marian Hoefnagel, and published in 2009. As the title suggests, it tells the story of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who lived in a secret annexe for two years during World War II; she is most famous for her diary, which the book takes excerpts from. The book also includes photographs, and is written in simple, direct English.

Reader's Reviews

It was quite simple. The photographs were really good, I enjoyed looking at them. The print was quite large. I wanted to keep reading it. Quite a sad ending, obviously. I have read an older children's version, which was better, but this is better for young children. (Olivia, age 13)

This story is interesting. I studied about the Holocaust in Social Studies in high school. Anne is my Saint Name 4 Confirmation. Anne Frank may possibly be a distant relative of Noah Frank. (Andrea Patane, age 22)

Some sexual references. Anne dies at the end, which may upset some children.
