The Big Pig is a new classical book. It is the story of a homely pig who spends the night in the farmhouse with Farmer Fred and Silly Cat, and changes for better or for worse because he is so big and plump and cute. Written by Sir Kaos Barraclough.
While the story is brief and there is vaguely no moral, the simple crude illustrations prove there is something in this rough. I notice that while the story is short, it should have points for being original and enticing. Interesting storyline for very young readers, which is very innocent and friendly. It is yet to be officially published, but it may endure for a while.
This is a book about an anamorphic bunny who says goodnight to numerous things. It is often recited in a soothing voice. Written by Margaret Wise Brown, the book is aimed at readers below 1 year old.
While the book has endured for 75 years, how it survives for the regular 1 or 200 years is the question. I this day and age, the book still endures as a popular, relevant story with lots of drawings and vocabulary to keep young readers interested.
I have discovered a book from childhood that brought back many memories,
Printed by William Collins sons and co Ltd London and Glasgow (hardback)
I found on the fandom website that it was first printed in 1959 and the contents and description is exactly the same , so I believe this is probably the first book I read in 1962--1963 as I was born in 1959 and have distinct memories of the pictures and my mum reading it to me.
I was surprised to see a much later version in paperback for £124
I don't know if this would be sort after or how to find out valuation but feel i couldn't part with it ,as it has emotional attachment.
